Eco-Lodge & Centre for Experiential Learning
“I am the ancestral oblation. My bamboo clumps may whisper old folklores in the new hours of night. The wind may rattle my tender reeds to make soft screams. I am the bamboo grove…”
Eco-Lodge & Centre for Experiential Learning is a unique initiative run exclusively by the Forest Department to support and empower local communities. Nestled amidst lush bamboo thickets, this eco-lodge features fifteen well-maintained bamboo cottages, each equipped with modern, hygienic amenities.
The tranquil ambiance of Bamboo Grove offers guests an immersive experience—where the whisper of bamboo culms, the chirping of birds, and the gentle flow of streamlets from the surrounding Periyar meadows create a harmonious retreat in nature.
